*Episode 18A
Those words sounded like magic to binah..she directed her mother to her apartment and the next day..her mother appeared
"Binah I want Kunle to rot in prison for what he did to you..please all you need to do is stand as a witness against him"
Binah had a frown on her face..like she was trying to figure out if this was her mother talking..her mother had never taken anything serious..was there an ulterior motive.. Was she truly sorry?
She got up and went into the room..it was a self contain apartment.. Well furnished and Aduke could see clearly that her daughter was living a comfortable life..
She never imagined her daughter to be this capable..Binah was just 23 years yet she had the mind of a woman twice her age.. She was too smart..intelligent..her intellectual was beyond reasoning..she was now feeling proud of her daughter
"Here mum..play the tape"
She handed a tape recorder to Aduke
"Dad why are you doing this me?"
"Because I love you child?"
"Does my mother know you disvirgined me..and you have been sleeping with me?"
"She doesn't know..and she would never find out..now you better don't say anything or else you know I would not pay your sister's hospital bills"
The tape went off
Aduke hands were shaking.. Two things filled her mind and Binah was prepared to tell her everything she needs to know
"Your sister's hospital bills?"
Binah nodded in affirmation
"Miriam is dead..binah"
Binah held her mother's hand and wiped the tears flowing from her eyes
"No mum..she is not..she was transferred abroad with George to have the kidney transplant..she would be coming back to Nigeria next week..with my cousin Juliet"
Aduke couldn't believe her ears..she was looking for balance..all these years she thought she lost her daughter 5years back after her husband's death
"Mum..I know this is all confusing right Now. I will explain it to you when I get back"
Binah quickly replied when she noticed the tracker she put on Jide moved to stop in her office..what was Jide up to..what was he doing in her office?..
She insisted Aduke slept in her place while she took her car keys and hurried to her office..

Binah got to her office minutes later and gently pushed her way in..only to find Paul seated going thru her files and pictures..putting on Jide's coat where she had put the tracker..she couldn't believe Paul would go to the extreme to put on Jide's clothes to impress her.
She cleared her throat to announce her presence
"Oh..Binah..the door was open..so I figured you would be around"
She didn't say a word..she simply forced a smile and took her sit to listen to what he had to say..
Jide came around..this was it..he had to breath down couple of times before he braced himself to knock on Binah's office
"Come in"
To his surprise he saw Paul..what was he doing here
"Paul..Wetin you dey do for here?"
Paul was about to say something..but Binah was quick to respond
"He is my date.. So the question should be..what are you doing in my office?"
Paul was glad..does this mean that she had finally accepted him..he would be the happiest man on earth..Binah was the ideal woman for him..she knew him..she could read him like she had known him from birth..he couldn't wish for another woman
"Look man..you would have to excuse me..I want to talk to Binah" Jide pushed further
"He is not going anywhere Jide"
Binah responded again..before Paul said anything.. An awkward silence stood in between them..Binah was ready to beat Jide's pride and show him who's boss..she was ready to make it very difficult..
Jide was seething in anger..no woman on the surface on this earth treated him the way Binah does..he was used to be king..orders and they obey..he really didn't care about their feelings.. He just believes women are a tiny pain in the ass..Paul just stood in between his childhood friend and His dream wife..for Binah he was ready to settle down and plan out life..he wasn't ready to let Jide have this one
Jide had nothing else to say..he simply stepped out..into his office..he was now realising that this plan of his won't be easy the execute..the lady was just too hard to crack..well it doesn't mean he was giving up..but what was Paul doing there?..he was now thinking his best friend would be another stumbling block..
