THREE(3) YEARS LATER

Finally am in my final year, wow! Very soon i will be a graduate and then i can kick start my career and achieve my dream. I have always dreamt of being a Mass Communication student, and the lord has made it possible for me. Though i passed through ups and downs in this life but i give God the glory for guiding me, surely, 'When God is for you, no Man can be against you.
Tonia is now a graduate and currently doing her youth service in the northern part of the country while Bro David is through with Youth service and he is planning to travel out of the country for greener pasture, possibly America He promised to call me once he has settled down in America. our project is around the corner and money is needed to do a thing a thing or two- Tonia kept her promise to me while in school and up till now she still is, but i needed money for my upcoming project and she has assured me that she will do something about it but am yet to hear to her...
Queen: "I guess i will have to call her. Let me know her reason for delaying"...
I picked my phone and dialled her number but it wasn't available...Oh my world, maybe the network in the northern part of the country is as bad as one could ever imagine, Although Tonia always tell me that the electricity in the north is nothing to write home about but that shouldn't deter her from communicating with me and keeping her promise to me as well.
Queen: "I will have to go to the market now to get some food stuffs and other necessary items. When i am done cooking, i will then give Tonia a call"
I said to myself- it was around 5pm in the evening so i hurriedly went to the market and get the stuffs that was needed in my room. After i arrived from the market, i quickly prepared egusi soup and stew, cooked rice and went out to buy a bag of water for drinking.
As i was about to eat dinner, my phone rang and i quickly answered the call thinking that it was my very own Tonia

Queen: "Hello...Is this Tonia?"
Amara: "No...its me Amara, Aunty Grace Daughter"
Queen: "Amara....Amara is that you, how are you? Tell me how is everything?"
Amara: "All is not well...Something tragic happened about few days ago"
She said crying...
Queen: "What happened, tell me why are you crying please?"
Amara: "Its...its... Its mummy"
Queen: "Mummy! What happened to mummy? Please tell me, you are making me scared?
Amara: "Mummy is dead....she died 3 days ago"
Queen: "Jesus!!! You mean Aunty Grace is dead? How, what happened?
Amara: "She died of illness...it was a very serious one, we spend a lot of money on her treatment but unfortunately, she gave up the ghost"
Queen: "Ah...oh God, this is so sad. Oh God, why let such thing happened, why lord, tell me why. Where is her body now?"
Amara: "Its in the morgue"
Queen: "Okay....i will come over to your place first thing tomorrow morning, Its almost 9pm and i can't come to your place now cos of the distance. Take heart dear, please take heart- I promise to be there first thing tomorrow morning"
Amara: "Okay Queen...thank you very much. Bye"
Queen: "Bye...see you tomorrow"
Amara hangs up the phone....Oh God, this is too much, how will Amara and her sibling cope now. They are now orphan and there is no one to look after them...I couldn't eat any longer, i had lost my appetite, how can Aunty Grace be dead? That nice woman, she was like a mother to me and it was through her that i got admission into this school. Although we had some misunderstandings but i will always be grateful to her for the help that she rendered to me...I pray that her soul will find peace wherever she is! i was deep in thought until late in the night!!!

I couldn't sleep, i was still thinking about Aunty Grace passing away and i was afraid in my room. I was alone, suddenly there was a knock at my door- My heart skipped a beat

I know that the hostel is safe because of the security outside the hostel. I thought maybe he is a student who needed to make use of the Iron, probably for tomorrow's lectures. I guess i was wrong, totally wrong.....I went and opened the door for him!
